“A wonderful achievement!“
 —J.D. McClatchy

“The ‘Mediterranean’ poems are as evocative as any in our language”
—James Merrill

SECOND HOME proves once again that “Blasing has few if any rivals when it comes to writing gut-wrenching, lyrical poetry”
Booklist.

“SECOND HOME is a varied and sustained performance. In poem after poem the reader follows the moves of a mind engaged in making a web of all its experience.”                                                      —Richard Wilbur

“Randy Blasing’s poems are at once tranquil and unsettling, condensed and expansive. His images are deceptively clear and sharp, for time and again in these poems memory is folded back upon itself.”
—Rachel Hadas
